Pinion Seal From Volvo Dealer 700 1991

I replaced the pinion seal with one from my Volvo dealer. I was surprised to find that the seal was stamped "National USA 4941VDR Outside" since the FAQS said the seal should be Volvo OEM and that aftermarket seals fail. The Volvo packaging and sales slip had a Volvo Part Number of 9143317-7. Has National been making Volvo Pinion seals for a long time or is this a new development.

I am concerned since I have two more 940s to replace leaky Pinion seals and I don't want to replace them twice.
