Where to buy Impulse sensor/ RPM Sensor 740 GL? 700 1990

I was wondering if the Impulse Sensor and RPM Sensor are the same thing. Mainly because I can't find an RPM sensor for a 1990 740 GL anywhere online, if someone could point me in the right directon, I'd really appriciate it.
