a recent friend (through this board) has a '66 with a far above average body (he towed it back from Tucson), but his engine's tired and blowby is becoming an issue. He's looking for a replacement engine and wonders what the reasons would be for not looking for an engine out of a boat, if one presents itself.
Aside from carbs, exhaust, possibly distributor and cam, what would be the reasons not to use a motor out of a boat?
Seems like it'd have less hours (miles) and less abuse, but I really have no idea what the other issues would be. Any opinions or experience here?
