BRAND NEW compressor seizing after only ~30miles! ... 900

Hello,
Re: '94 940 b230f wagon r134a

I just replaced my compressor and after around 30 miles, on a pretty hot day, I heard squeeling, popped the hood, and was dumbfounded to see that when I increased the throttle (at the TB) the AC pulley was seizing and the belt was burning around it until I let off the gas at which point it would re-engage.

I've gone through two compressors (used) already, so this third time I thought I'd do things right. I got a new seiko-seiki compressor, new accumulator, new orifice tube, ester oil, new o-rings. I pulled the old compressor/accumulator/orifice tube and had my mechanic thoroughly flush the system, install the above components (I hung the compressor to save some bucks), vaccum it, and charge it.

The AC blew cold (although maybe a little less cool then I remember, but who knows). Then the above happened. I hooked up a guage to the low side and after about a minute the pressure dropped (from 100psi w/ compressor off) to only about 55psi w/ ambient temp around 85degF.

The AC system seems fine when it is cooler out. The same thing happened to my old compressors, it would work fine at night, etc. but would squeal when things got hot until eventually they would totally seize up.

I have checked:
- the elec. fan kicks on after about 10 seconds after the compressor kicks on.
- the compressor NEVER cycles off. This seems strange to me. In the past 3 compressors, I have never seen it cycle off.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. the Compressor is under warranty but the other parts/labor isn't cheap.

Thanks a lot!
