Corregated hose from intercooler to throttle body (8360970) is NLA - Replacement? 200 1983

Hi all,

I was working on our 1983 244ti last weekend and found that the "corregated" rubber hose between the intercooler and the throttle body had a weak spot on the underside. It looked like the outer surface had delaminated and I could see the fiber reinforcement. Not sure if the hose holds boost pressure, but I'm assuming not . . . .

I checked with Volvo, PN 8360970 lists for 141.88--if they can get it. FCP Groton, IPD, and my local BAP-GEON all show it as NLA. Are there any other options? I thought maybe I could use a silicon ("ricer") intercooler hose of the right ID and length . . . .

I'm hoping to covert the car to the later b230 intake manifold--I already have the parts on hand--so would like to keep the cost of the near-term fix low if possible.

Any ideas/BTDTs would be appreciated!

Steve A-
