960 TRACS Wiring? 900 1995

Yesterday, I put a TRACS switch in my 2000 V70 XC (this allows me to now turn the traction control off/on). The harness was present just behind the dashboard blank next to the sunroof button. This got me thinking (dangerous, I know) and went and looked at my 1995 960. I pulled the blank from the dash next to the sunroof button - nothing there. Then I tried on the left side of the dash and pulled the blank next to the fog light button...guess what? Same plug for the TRACS as in my V70XC.

So my question, I guess is this: Does anyone know what the harness plug located behind that blank next to the foglights is for? They didn't have TRACS, back in 1995, did they? There is no reference in the owners manual o it...
