Timing belt rubbing against cover 900 1993

I changed the timing belt two weeks ago.
The two spacers that hold the timing belt cover
away from the belt had broken and fell out when
I removed the cover.

The timing belt is now rubbing against
the cover.

Is this a common problem?

What is the solution?
