starting issues 1984 245 TI 200 1984

I have a 1984 245 TI. It seems that in the morning if I just start it it will run for three seconds then die. However, if I start it and give it a little gas for about thirty seconds it's perfect. What componet(s) might be causing this? Thanks for any infomation. Nick
