I have posted on this issue before, but finally brought the car to a mechanic for a look. My car has always given me trouble starting when its below freezing, or if I drive it hard. It will crank for a very long time but will eventually start and runs fine once started. A few weeks ago it wouldnt start- period. Brought it to shop, he changed a crank and cam sensor and got the car back to where it was (hard start). After much tearing apart and testing, he has about given up. He says that it is getting a very weak volt reading to plugs/fuel injectors when trying to start. He has looked for bad grounds and replaced the battery cables. If he sprays ether into the throttle bore, it will start right up every time. He thinks the only thing it could be is a bad ECM but we are hesitant to buy one just to see if that it because of their cost and the value of the car. Does anyone have any ideas?
