BW35 Slipping 120-130 1967

I have a 1967 220 and it has a BW35 transmission in it. It slips from 1st gear to second gear and on the highway if im going up a slight incline it revs a little but keeps moving. A transmission shop told me my clutch steels and friction plates are worn, which I think is true. I just want to hear what you guys think.
