940 Headlights dead 900 1990

head lights don't work, when switched on all lights go out,
flashers work, Early RHD model head light relay not on the
board as far as I can see and I can not find it.
any help suggestions much appreciated as I only have
the wiring diags for 1991 onwards and have not been able
to locate one for mine, THANKS
