heater blower motor 700 1990

The blower motor on my 740 gle screams once in a while. I tried to get to it to maybe put some oil on the bearing, but there's a panel in the way. There's 3 plastic screws on the panel under the glove box. When I unscrew them nothing happens. Any suggestions on how to get those screws out.
