air conditioner questions 200

I would like some input on this. I'm trying to see if its possible to swap the ac system out of a 91 740 into my 88 240???

This is what I've found out comparing part numbers on various sites......

1993 240 parts are the same as the 91 740 for all hoses, and the condenser.

Dryer is different part # for 88 and 93 240 and also 91 740.

Evap is also different part # between all years.

Is the compressor a different part # for the 93 240? I couldn't find that out, it seems as though it could be, Tasca Volvo has the 93 compressor used on the 240,740,and 940 for the 93 and 94 model years, but doesn't give a part number so I can't compare it.

I want to buy the 93 240 Evap, use the hoses from the 740, the condensor from the 740, ????DRYER FROM????, and the compressor from the 740.

Can I use the Evap from the 740?

If there are any obvious pitfalls please let me know? Thanks.
