Hi all,
I still have a misfire that I believe to be random. I am beginning to believe it is weak spark/no spark in a random oscillating pattern. So, it wouldn't always be cylinder + 1 msifiring, but all of them at some point. I have come to this conclusion because I still have a misfire and have test each spark plug individually and checked the exhaust manifold after a few seconds of running, there are no obviously cooler outlets.
So, I have it down to the Ignition coil, the power stage amplifier, and the ICU.
I have no arcs to ground (checked engine while running at night. All other systems seem to work fine. Engine is running rich, but I believe that's because the ICU is reporting misfire, so it will not go into closed-loop operation, is this a correct assumption?
The ignition coil ohms out fine
The icu reports misfire but does not engage CEL?
The power stage I have no idea how to test... does anyone else?
