Threads for torque rod are gone! 200 1985

I've had this car since January, but I just now got under the rear suspension to take a look at what might be making my clunking sound upon takeoff and on bumpy roads. I found my passenger side torque rod, just hanging from the axle/differential housing. The bolt that goes through the torque rod into the frame above the trailing arm was gone; furthermore, the corner of the A-frame in which the missing bolt is supposed to go through has been snapped off.

So I got over to the junkyard, found 4 240s, and on the 4th try, I managed to remove the A-frame.

When I got home, I jumped under my car, replaced the A-frame and lined up the bolt through the A-frame, the torque rod, and the chassis, only to realize that the bolt wasn't threading as I turned it! I moved everything out of the way and realized that there were no threads at all to work with.

There is no hole on the other side of the chassis frame; if there was, I might be able to work a longer bolt into a nut to tighten it down. I'm thinking of trying a drill to make a hole, but I highly doubt that I have the clearance to do so.
Any ideas?
