Brake Questions 700 1992

Greetings board members:
A quick shout out to Uncle Olaf who hooked me up with the cheap OEM brake pads. THANKS!

Now to the meat.
1992 740 wagon NA, girling calipers w\abs
I am going to be changing brake pads in the front of my car. Pretty freaking easy thing to do I learned the other day when I took things apart to figure out what I had in there.
After reading the FAQ, most notably the part that says " put anti squeal stuff on the back of the pad" I find myself wondering exactly what the anti squeal stuff is. If someone could lay that on me, much appreciated.

My other dilemma, and really the point of this post, is when I had both calipers off the other day, the front right pads were WAAAAY more worn than the left side. I did pull all the slide pins the other day and relubed them prior to putting things back together. The lower one on the left side had rust on it, not a lot, but some. The other 3 pins, good to go. I cleaned that pin up and lubed it up proper and things seem better up front now.

While in there I did clean my ABS sensors as for some time I have had the low speed ABS issue. No real improvement post cleaning of sensors. And yesterday the ABS light came on again. It goes away with a restart. I tried pulling codes for the ABS and got nothing. By nothing I mean nothing. I didn't get 1-1-1 either. Does the ABS flash 1-1-1 if things are all good?

Thanks for your help.
Drew
