The header pipe developed a crack right at the flange where it goes into the converter. There’s a small crack that runs about half way around the pipe just before the weld which holds the flange on.
Can such a crack be “patched”?
If not and I install a new pipe should I put on a round metal gasket at the converter inlet as well as an exhaust flange gasket? It would seem that it goes inside where the flanges meet.
