Hall sensor wiring with all black wires? 700

I have a hall sensor wiring issue. I just put a new (used) hall sensor in. It was working when pulled from other car. I replaced the wiring connector, but wonder if I didn't do it improperly because all my wires were black, whereas the ones on the FAQ have colors. Does anyone know a way to tell these black wires apart to verify I wired it correctly?
