1992 960 Transmission starts out in third gear.

Sometimes my 1992 960 starts off in third gear after stopping at a light, etc.
I can let off the brake when stopped and if the car does not inch forward, it is in third gear. I can shift into low and then the car inches forward and will start off normally. Other than this, the transmission works great.

Any suggestions on how to fix will be appreciated.
