repair to shifter 200 1992

I need to repair the shifter for my auto trans. I forced it when it stalled and forgot to depress the brake to move the shifter back to park. Now it won't start in park unless you hold the shifter over to the passenger side to make contact in the shifter. Also the shifter will not move from park unless you reset the plastic lever that resets the detent on the shifter. Since it is plastic I am not sure how long it will stay together and it is a pain to reset this every time you move the car. What do I have to buy to fix the problem?
