940.. How do I get an aftermarket stereo system out??? 900 1993

I am using up all my question credits I know... Anyway, this car has an aftermarket sound system, one with the removable faceplate. I can't see any way to get this out from underneath. Any audio installers here who can point me to how to get it out? The unit is not functioning, and I am not sure why, so I want to get it out and bench it to see.
