Idle Valve works fine, then quits later 900

Just refining my question here. Same car 1993 B230 Regina. The idle valve works fine in the morning. I drive around to town. Stop a couple of times, starts fine. Then on the next stop and star just quits. I fabricated a piece of pipe I can stick in the air intake just to get home. Does anyone had this problem? Do I need a new idle valve or is electrical problem back to the ECM? Thanks
