Help my driver side power seats wont move. Volvo 960 900 1995

It was working fine one day then the other it stopped.the motor wont make any noise.Amd the seats wont move.I checked all fuses There good.Is there anyway i can test if its the motor.I see a Little black box that all the wires are connected to it on top of the motor could that be it?
