740 starts but stop immediately 700

This is a continuation to my previous post.I still have not resolve the problem with my 89 740 volvo. As I have said before the car starts right up, but you have to keep stepping on the accelerator pedal to prevent the engine from stalling. I have replaced the distributor cap,spark plug,rotor, high tension wire. I have also switched the MAF from my other car with the same result...start but stop immediately if you don't keep your feet in the gas pedal. Is this an ignition "electrical" or a fuel problem? Again thank you for any suggestions.
