Engine/Trans mounts (likely problem) 700

I went to test drive a 1990 760 wagon I'm considering buying as a beater. Everything on the car was pretty much as described, the only mechanical issue I heard or felt was what I am assuming are bad engine and transmission mounts.

When stopping, if I stabbed the brakes a bit, there was a noticeable "shift" of something large and heavy. It wasn't audible, but easily felt, and I could see the movement of the shift lever. If I couldn't see the shift lever move, I would spend more time worrying that it may be worn suspension bushings or any number of other things, but the movement in the lever makes me pretty confident.

So the question is, are engine and tranny mounts anything special to be worried about in this car? Peculiarities that would make the job harder than I expect? I've done them before on two other cars (BMWs), should I expect this Volvo to give me any troubles?

I'm hoping to be able to use the mounts as a way to talk the owner down a couple hundred dollars, then buy the mounts for ten of twenty bucks. I'm such a sleaze. :)
