'91 240 with about 225000 miles. I don't drive this car often--sometimes a week will go by. Last Spring I had trouble starting it. Sometimes would start fine, other times would only start after a blast of starting fluid.
Replaced pre-pump, plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor.
My son drove the car about 500 miles away and used it over the summer. He started it every day, generally with no trouble. The last couple of weeks he had some trouble. Took it to a mechanic and they said it started every time. He drove it back to us and now we are back where I was last Spring--it sits a couple of days and then will only start with starting fluid. Sometimes even that won't help.
Compression is 150-155 across all cylinders. I don't have a good way to check fuel pressure.
Any suggestions? I am going to a junkyard later today to pick up some trim pieces and could pull a fuel pump relay, but I don't have my book with me and am not sure where that is. Help on that would be appreciated as well.
