Hi: I have a 1993 240 Wagon. B230F Engine, Auto Transm, 230,000. miles I just replaced the 2 engine mounts and also spliced in a new 12 VDC wire from the starter to the alternator. After doing so, my battery light on my IP was on when the car was running. I pulled the alternator off, took it in and had it tested. Bad alternator. I replaced it with a new Bosch alternator. The light is now off and all seems well. What is odd is that when I turn the ignition "On" the OIL lite on the dash will not light up before starting the car. Normally, when the ignition is first turned "on" the following bulbs light up. Check Eng ABS Battery Oil Lite SRS Bulb Out Parking Brake Brake Failure After the engine mounts and alternator replacement the "OIL" and "Bulb Out" lights will no longer glow when the ignition is first turn "on". I have swapped out the Oil Pressure Switch with a known good one. No change. When I ground out the Oil Pressure switch the bulb does light on the dash (as it should). The wiring from the oil pressure switch is good because I replaced all of it last year and re-routed it. I got deteriated from going underneath the crank pully with all the oil on it. I'm stumped! Any assistance would be appreciated. All was fine before I jacked up the car and changed the engine mounts and alternator, and spliced in a new section of the high current wire into the harness that comes from the starter ...Thanks....Mr. Tool...
