I'm doing my Bearing this weekend. I was able to easily repack it with grease but I bought the parts and , well, why not do it right.
Getting to the bearing removal part. I thought I'd be able to peel the Rubber Mount off from around the bearing then get the bearing off.. Try a Drift and hammer first if no good then a small grinder. Anyway, I thought I'd read the 700FAQs for info, unfortunately that seems to talk about additional components. Is the 700 set up different then the 200 as far as this support goes?
Will I be able to use PVC pipe to seat the new bearing on? I heard they are not pressed too tight. Not sure if I have a steel pipe in the correct diameter to catch the inner part of the bearing. I think I read where someone tapped it down with a Drift to seat it.
