My just-acquired '95 944 (121K) (non-turbo) desperately needs shocks and struts. I'm seeking the wisdom of the collective here - what have been your good experiences / bad experiences ? OEM and IPD are pretty pricey -- are there equivalent or almost-equivalent alternatives ?

Hoping to benefit from your past good choices, and possibly avoid your past mistakes. The car is going to be a daily driver, but I hope to eventually find sway bars and a strut tower brace, to fully "lock up" the suspension. So, I don't want a "race" setup, but I sure love a good, firm, flat ride.

One more thing --- please make a contribution to keep this board alive. I've been tardy in doing so, and after realizing how much money this board has saved me over years, I'm sending my check today. You should, too, no matter the amount.
