Looking for a New York mechanic (Troy, Brooklyn) 120-130

hi,

i'm new here. i am a new owner of a 1964 122s that i use as a daily driver. she's a great car so far.

i was on the road the other day when the accelerator cable dropped. the hardware was still there, and i got it all hooked up and went on my way.

but that got me thinking: what am i going to do when i can't do it myself?

sooner or later i'm going to need a real mechanic, and i might need to tow to that person. i've realized it would be better to know who that person is in advance.

so, does anyone have any suggestions for good, honest mechanics in new york's capital region (i have an apartment in troy), and/or a mechanic in new york city (i also live in brooklyn)?

any advice would be great.

best,

jeff
