Hi,
I just bought a '97 960 wagon. The high mount stop light on the tailgate no longer has it's bolts and bangs into the glass everytime I close the tailgate. I need to get the apholstery cover off the inside of the tailgate. I understand that I have to remove the trim from around the release handle on the gate to get to two fasteners underneath it.
My question is: Is there a trick to unsnapping this thing without cracking it? It seems to be on there very securely and hard to get anything underneath to pry it.
So many times with my 240's there are things like this that are supposed to just "unsnap" and they actually snap. I am gun-shy of Volvo interior plastic parts.
Thanks for any help!
Mark
