B20 6-Bolt Flywheel Lightening 200 1975

Hi,

I have been running a safely, mildly lightened, 8-bolt flywheel (from a 1979 B21F) on my 1975 B20F engine, for the last three years.

The lightening was done by removing metal solely at the perimeter of the flywheel. The latter was then re-balanced.

I may be replacing my B20F block, which has broken a piston-ring, with a 6-bolt B20E one.

Is there anything (metallurgy, etc...) about the 6-bolt flywheel that could prevent me from lightening it, as well?

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.
