When my car had a head gasket redone, in July, the mechanic used some green antifreeze instead of the blue Volvo stuff that I wanted. When I change the water pump, do you think I can pretty well get rid of the green stuff by draining from the lower rad hose and the block drain, then refilling with distilled water, run engine for a few seconds to stir it up, then drain again? Maybe I could repeat this once or twice to dilute the green stuff down to a very insignificant fraction.
Then refill with Volvo antifreeze and distilled water.
