Tail light lenses 200 1990

I have 1990 240 wagon and during a recent car wash episode I chipped off a small peice of lower most red lense of the tail light . At the time I did not think much about it and did not even pick up the chipped plastic as well . It looks like the lenses are not sold separately and the whole assembly is quite costly.
Are those lenses meant to be replaced separately ? What is the solution other than junk yards which are getting further away (25m) and the parts rarer to find.
