This thing will not start, will not fire at all now, weak, very faint spark, and if I don’t disconnect the battery, it’s dead after a couple of days. Another interesting thing, we were checking all the connections for corrosion, when my son removed a small ground plate, located below the computer in the passenger-side footwell, just forward of the door. That ground plate had several tabs for attaching spade connectors, but only one black wire was attached to it. When he would ground it to the frame – just touch it to the body with the key not even in the ignition switch – the door locks clacked and the main fuel pump, the one under the driver’s feet, would run as long as contact was maintained. I suppose that’s the problem, but I don’t know where it is. A bad ground, I guess. Right? Anybody got any idea why that would be? Or where? I like this car, but this is getting old.
