dome light not working right 700

so now I have figured out how stupid I am, and got the dash lights working (found the rheostat!), the other issue I have is that the dome lights will not turn completely off when the door is closed. I can get them to brown out, but they will not turn completely off unless I manually throw the switch.
I have taken apart both door switches and cleaned the grounds on each, as well as the internal contacts, to no avail. The boinger works properly, but the dome light does not turn off.
Any suggestions?
