valve job 900 1996

i'm getting ready to have the heads and valves done on my 96 960 because of a burned exhause valve in cyl#2 . is there any chances of any problems like this to happen again soon after the job is done like valve trouble? or should i be ok for maybe another 100000 miles? i have 160000 on it now....
