240 -740 manuel transmission swap 700

I have a 88 740 turbo with the M-46 4 speed w/od transmission. I have found over several different cars that I prefer the M-47 5 speed tranny.
I'm in the process of changing my clutch and would like to make this switch.
Trouble is, its much easier to find an M-47 in a 240, than in a 740.
How many problems can I expect putting a 240 M-47 into a 740 originally equiped with the M-46 overdrive transmission.
Some issues that are evident with a tape measure is the lenght of shifter and arms, driveshaft and tranny mounts??
