Alternator physical size 200 1982

Howdy all,

Can someone who has both a 55A (PN 5002051) and an 80A alternator (PN 5002052) tell me if there is a difference in the physical size of the case? The reason I need to know is the alternator that is on the car (80A) is fouling the oil pressure sending unit (3 bar gauge). The case needs to be at least 3/8" shorter front to back to clear the sending unit. TIA.

Mr. Shannon DeWolfe -- I've taken to using mister because my name misleads folks on the WWW. I am a 52 year old fat man. ;-)
