fix up the 940 or a new 240? 200

Howdy Everyone

I have a dilemma I have created for myself. My wife thinks I’m (more) crazing. I’m wondering whether I should buy a pretty sweet 92 245 wagon or put the money into the 95 944 I currently own.
For the past year, I have replaced all the critical and not so critical parts in the 940: breather box, radiator and cooling hoses, coolant flush, tune up, tranny flush, valve cover gasket, intake gasket, injector seal, brakes, rotors, fpr, etc. etc. Obviously, it is not the same car I started with.
Several things that probably need to be changed are the exhaust (real loud), struts and shocks. All three are stock and showing their age.
The 92 240 wagon has 180k on the clock. Dark metallic blue. Clean interior. New belts. Auto trans. No Rust! It has been sitting for sale for about 3 months now, and the price has come down from $2900 to $2600. Would this be a fair price for the car? I was thinking of starting the talks at $2k and go from there….

What do you guys think? Put some of my money into the 940 and hold on to the rest—or get the wagon and hold off on the 940…
