Headlight repair/conversion 900

Okay, my 945 had a run-in with the bumper of an SUV or Pickup today, and the turn signal lens is now cracked up and the headlight studs/sockets are all broken. Fortunately it was a short trip home with only one "eye". A flashlight and streetlamp aren't giving me enough light to fully assess the situation, but I'm guessing I'll be needing an entire turn signal assembly and headlight assembly. Are small parts like the studs available separately at the dealer? If so, maybe I can epoxy together a repair to the sleeves on the back of the lens assembly.

I've been contemplating an upgrade to E-code lights, but was discouraged when I was unable to find them (the Verigni website referenced in the FAQ doesn't appear to still list them). Lo and behold, FCP Groton apparently now sells them. Has anybody ordered the light assemblies from them? Are they decent quality? Manufacturer is listed as Scan-Tech, so I would assume they're probably crap, but...

Or should I just head to the junkyard and hope to find the parts I need to restore my factory setup? Unfortunately there aren't many 940's (or 1991 and later 740's) in our local yards--tons of the older cars with the sealed beam lights, though.

What's involved in substituting assemblies from a car with foglights in one without? My car appears to have wires for foglights (a set of unused wiring connectors dangling off the harness where the existing headlights plug in), so I would hope it's just replacing the headlight assemblies and the grille.

This was not what I (or my wallet) needed right now.

thanks for any advice,
John
