My names Alex and im a massive fan of these cars.
In particular im looking for a brown/gold Volvo 240 5-speed manual (AUS Spec, all 2.3 4-cylinders)
I'm looking for a car not more than $1,500 and am particularly looking for under $1,000 as per www.redbook.com.au statistics.
I earn about $5,500 a year, just coming into my learners license now and am wondering if I am able to afford the running costs.
What sort of things should I look out for when trying out a car, and what is likely to break?

Ive spent days looking up reviews and compiled a basic list, but as is the nature of the internet, much of it is contradictory and I need a specific opinion.

Can anybody help?
