electrical issues are clearly not my strong suit 200

with that said can someone give me a reasonably simple method of tracing an open somewhere between a sensor and the cluster light.

i am back to retracng my steps on a cluster oil pressure light which remains ON after startup. i thought i had it solved but do not. my kid is bugging me to really fix it ........dad...........for free of course!!

things done and verified good are:

1. oil pressure... gauge tested to be 20-24 psi at idle and 55-60 at 3000rpm
2. a new sender installed
3. with the sender wire disconnected from sensor engine oil light lights up at startup and then goes out as it should

4. if sender wire is re connected light does not go out.

pressure is good
sender is good
light works

ergo the problem must be somewhere between the sender and the light

i have indentified a connector block of 53 pins called a C2 at the left front wheel well inside the compartment but have not yet checked this out. from my investigation pin C16 holds the oil wire

any electrical wizards help is appreciated
