removing side marker lamps - reinstall of "Volvo' badge 900 1995

I'm pulling my aftermarket side marker lamps from my 960 and moving them to another car.

What can I use between the old "Volvo" badge and the fender, when I reinstall the badge into the hole cut on the side of the 960 ? Is there a material available in bulk that I can cut to fit ? Whatever was on the old badge is now gone.
