Headlights Cutting out 200

So I've experienced this issue a few times now and im not sure where to start. The car is and 86 244. I was driving home and lights cut off completely. I Have control over the highbeams but the headlights just stop working. After pulling over a for a few moments and trying the lights again they return to functioning normally. Any suggestions?

Lose connections? Relays? Fuses? Common Problem? Can someone provide me with a nice scematic and perhaps possible locations or relays/fuse/switches in this system?
