How do you post a photo here? 444-544

I tried. And failed. I uploaded a photo to the gallery (successfully!)& then cut & pasted the HTML code into the Image URL field in my message but that didn't work. :(
What's the correct way to do this?
Obviously my PC skills are as poor as my mechanical skills. :(
