Engine oil seepage 200 1988

Car = Volvo 240 GL
Model Year = 1988
Engine = B230K
Fuel System = Solex Sisac Carburettor

Overhauled my engine a year ago, cleaned everything, changed the gaskets & Seals, still same problem persists.

Recently took out and cleaned the flame trap..

Oil is seeping around the Valve Cover, oil seals (oil trace and residue can be found around the waterpump assembly), and the mechanical fuel pump (besides the distributor).


I've searched high and low throughout the forum regarding Flame Trap, but couldn't find a way to post a reply. One owner had exactly similar problem as mine but didn't see any solution to it.

Please help me.
