i am in the process of redoing the dashboard of my 71 1800e. i have gone through all the trouble of replacing the old dashpad and am about to start putting it all back together. however, i want to change the old "wood laminate" look of the various panels. i'm thinking of some sort of brushed aluminum or stainless. has anyone ever used a cnc machine to replace the old part? Does anyone have the part "mapped out?" the cnc machine i have access to won't scan an old part to copy it. any other tips before i put the old instruments back in would be appreciated.
