The two problems might be unrelated. I have an '87 turbo that recently got a new timing belt. It sat for 3-4 weeks and I took it out, filled the tank and it drove like a dream. Suddenly while cruising along the engine died and wouldn't start. I checked the timing belt and it was OK. I tried starting and it fired up immediately. I let it idle later that day and after 5 min. it died but restarted just fine. I have had one instance since of a drop in power for about 2-3 seconds so I suspect it was condensation in the gas.The fuel pump doesn't buzzz and the timing is dead on. BUT the radio has static that doesn't change with RPM speed but with wheel speed. No noise while the vehicle is stopped but the "crackle" seems to "repeat" with the wheels rotating.WEIRD. Could this be a radio suppression relay problem? Ideas? Thoughts? Thanks.
