diagnosis help: how much fuel should be on a spark plug? 900 1993

I'm trying to trace the cause of a no-start condition with my 1993 965. I've posted here about a month or more ago but I'm just now attending to the problem.

Since I pulled the plug, it does smell of fuel but not a great amount. In my case, I'm looking for the cause to be spark (I believe) and not fuel but I'm trying to eliminate the fuel issue once and for all.
